What is the Dave Kunkel Cruise-In?
The Dave Kunkel Cruise-In is an annual car show that is open to cars, trucks and motorcycles, both classic and late model. The purpose of the cruise-in is to raise funds for ALS research and to help fund the Vernon Manor Home for Children in Wabash, Indiana.

Who was Dave Kunkel?
Dave Kunkel was a native of the Wabash, Indiana area and victim of ALS. Always ready to assist in worthy causes, Dave was well known and respected in Wabash as a man who could be counted on to help in any way he could. It is in his honor and spirit that his family and friends organized the Dave Kunkel Cruise-In.

What kind of events take place at the Cruise-In?
Of course there are lots of cars, over 400 at the 2003 event. Cars, trucks and motorcycles are judged and great prizes are awarded in several categories. There are also door prize drawings. Prizes include TVs, tires, and other merchandise donated by area merchants for the Cruise-In. Click Here for scenes from the 2003 Cruise-In.

What kind of dining and hotel accommodations will I find in Wabash?
Restaurants can be found throughout the town and in the surrounding area. Anything you could possibly desire, from hotdogs and burgers to fine dining is available in Wabash within walking distance of the car show. There will also be vendors featuring everything your tastebuds expect at this type of event.

If you plan to stay the night, there are several hotels and motels in Wabash and in the surrounding area where you will be able to find accommodations for the Cruise-In.
