The Industry Standard -The Ford Ball Valve

Since their introduction in the early 1960's, Ford ball valves have provided the water works industry with a superior alternative to plug or key valves. Tightness in BOTH directions at all pressures, easy turning, and minimum pressure loss-these characteristics are added to good engineering design, quality, and precise manufacturing.

All Ford Key Valves are manufactured to AWWA C800 standard. Key valves are designed for a maximum working pressure of 100 PSI in the 3/4" and 1" sizes. Ford Meter Box recommends the use of a ball valve for pressures higher than 100 PSI.

Key Valves are made for most service line types. Keys are held in position by strong bronze springs.

Standard tee-head stops on the body to permit 90° turn only. Full 360° tee-head rotation is available.

Minneapolis Pattern Valves are available in a variety of sizes, please contact the factory for availability.

FEATURES OF THE FORD BALL VALVE

Only Ford ball valves feature a solid one piece tee-head and stem. Ford's wide variety of end connections are integral or secured with adhesive to prevent unintentional disassembly. A fluorocarbon-coated brass ball provides maximum flow capacity and ease of turning now, and in the future. Ford Ball Valves are designed to withstand WORKING PRESSURES up TO 300 PSI.
